If you are like me, you have been added to lots of Lip Sense groups on Facebook and always wondered what all the hype is about! My sweet friend, Nicole, sells Lip Sense and I finally decided to give it a try! There were so many colors to choose from, I kind of wanted to try them all! So here's what I learned:
1. Yes, the color really does stay on all day! 2. After wearing the color for another day, I learned that if you reapply the gloss more, the color will stay even better. 3. Yes, it is expensive, but it really is worth the price because you are not constantly reapplying. 4. Yes, you could use a gloss you already own to go over your Lip Sense color, but that gloss would then get on any cup you use or anything else your lips touch. Are you as intrigued as I was? Contact my friend, Nicole, to order your starter kit!! You will not regret it!([email protected]) I am already contemplating what color I need next!!!

Since I am a teacher, I get asked by friends every year, "What are some gifts that teachers really like to get?" Well, honestly, we truly appreciate EVERY gift we get. And almost every teacher will be excited and appreciative of each gift no matter the monetary value! But we all do have favorite things that we love to get! I like to get a list of my kids' teachers' favorite things! Below are a list of some great gifts you can get the important teacher in your child's life. (And don't forget about the specials teachers too!) 1. A gift card to go out to eat - Like all working moms (and dads), we are tired too when we get home! It sure is a treat to not have to cook when we get home! 2. A gift card to Starbucks - For this past Christmas, I gave Henry's special teachers a travel mug with a Starbucks' gift card. Attached to the mug, I made a little sign that said "Thanks a Latte for all you do!" 3. A gift certificate for a massage - We bend down A LOT during the day and are constantly up and down! If most teachers are like me, they have sore shoulders and necks! Local, my sweet friend, Sarah, has a great place in Auburn and you can even purchase online! Click here to see their site! 4. Flowers - This is a beautiful and inexpensive way to show your child's teacher how loved they are! One year, I even got a potted plant at the end of the year. Inside the dirt was a ruler holding a sign that said, "Thanks for helping me GROW this year!" Was so sweet! 5. Mani/Pedi gifts - This year for Henry and Lucy's special teachers, we gave them a fun color of nail polish, a nail file, and a Starbucks gift card. We attached a note that said "MANI thanks for all you do!" 6. A Kind Note - I know, this sounds so simple right?? Well, never underestimate the power of kindness! I (along with most teachers I know) keep a file in my desk labeled "Kind Notes". When I get a kind note from a parent or student I slide it in there. You see, some days are not good. And sometimes, we need that little boost of kindness to help get us through. So here's the bottom line! Get to know the wonderful person your child spends so much time with! But big or small, it truly doesn't matter. The saying is true. It really is the thought that counts.
This week, Target is having a sale on lots of great jewelry! Keep reading to see some of my favorite things from their sale! Click here to view the entire sale! Necklaces Beaded Multicolor Necklace Only $13.59 Bracelets Multicolored Beaded Only $7.99 Earrings Blue Tassel Earrings Only $10.39 I love a good pair of skinny jeans! They are so cute and casual for any occasion. When I had both of my kids, they were both delivered via c-section. Because of the scar on my stomach, I HAVE to have a comfortable pair of jeans or I just can't wear them because the rubbing really bothers my scar! Also, after becoming a mom, I have discovered (like many of you, I'm sure!) that things just don't fit the same! When I found these two jeans, they quickly became favorites!!! Click on the titles below to see where you can purchase these awesome jeans! (Affiliate links used) This first pair is my absolute favorite pair of jeans! I have these jeans in a size 4 and a size 2. I like them both, but I would suggest sizing down. I just feel a little more "sucked in" when I wear the size 2. My favorite thing about them is that there is an elastic waist! Not only is it very comfortable, but no button sticks out when you are wearing a shirt over your jeans. They are also higher waisted! These destructed jeans are the newest denim addition to my wardrobe, and I really love the stretch and softness! I really like the look of destructed denim, but I really don't want to spend a ton of money on a trend that may not be around for a really long time. These jeans are not only comfortable, but they are a great deal as well! UNDER $25!!!! They also have a great unraveled hem at the bottom!
A clutch is a great addition to any outfit! Whether you are going out on the town with some girlfriends or to a beautiful wedding, a clutch is the way to go! I've searched high and low for some fabulous clutches at many different price points! Under $30 Under $50 Under $100 Under $200 $200 +
I don't know about you, but I feel better when I work out! As busy as life gets, sometimes it is hard to get a good workout in! So whether you go to the gym, a yoga studio, or a walk outside, why not look stylish? :) Here are some great options for the being active at every price point! I love the openness of this outfit from Nordstrom's brand, Zella. Oh, and the leggings are REVERSIBLE!
