You guys, it's almost summer!! Yay! I am getting my reading list ready! And I would love some great suggestions from you! Here are some of my favorite books that I have read! If you haven't read these yet, pick them up to read this summer!! You won't regret it! (Affiliate links used.) When my principal recommended this series, I was excited! Francine Rivers has always been a favorite author of mine. This series takes place during gladiator times. Now don't let that history scare you! This series has books that are around 500 pages each. They were so good that I read all three of them in one week! I could not put them down! The Witness by Nora Roberts. My mother-in-law recommended this book to me, and it was great! I love a good mystery! This one is about a woman who witnesses a murder as a teenager, and she is put into protective custody. I loved this thriller! Wow, where do I even begin?? I am a HUGE fan of Fixer Upper, so I preordered this book and could not wait to read it! Who doesn't love Chip and Jo!?! I absolutely loved this book. It was truly life-changing. They are so inspiring. And as a bonus, it made me laugh too listening to some of the stories that were told! The Blessing of Favor by Kate McVeigh This book is another life changer! The author talks about how God truly wants to bless us, and we should expect His favor on our lives. It really helps you focus on positive thinking! Which for me, was a great reminder. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins This book is another great thriller! I could not put it down! There is suspense at every turn! If you are looking for a great mystery, look no further! I have always enjoyed books that take place during World War II. This book is about two sisters and how they made a difference during the war. It was very interesting. Hope this helps you on your summer reading list!

You may be wondering, why would a first grade teacher who is a mom of two want to start a fashion blog? Well, I believe that you should pursuit the things you love! And one of the many things I love is fashion and finding a good deal on it! So here is what I have learned so far in the short month I have been doing this! 1. You can't please everyone! Even though my nature is to try to make everyone happy, I have come to learn in my life that this is not possible! And while I love a good deal, I also believe that sometimes things that are quality cost a bit more. I am completely fine spending more money on a classic handbag that I will carry for years and years! I like to divide the amount I spend on the amount of times I will wear or use the item. 2. Doing something you love can bring you joy! I had been wanting to do something like this for years! After following many fashion bloggers, I finally decided this is something I could do! And you know what, it does bring me joy! So what is it that you love? Are you pursuing it? 3. Blogging builds relationships! I have talked to so many people after starting this blog, and they have been so positive and kind! To all of you who have encouraged me, THANK YOU! I'm still figuring things out! Thanks for coming along for the ride!!
XO Candace When I read this recipe in O Magazine, I instantly wanted to make it! Oh my, it sounded so good! This recipe was created by Daphne Oz. And wow, is it ever delicious!! But I must say, Oprah's crew did a much better job capturing a photograph than I did! Ha! Pinterest fail! But it still tasted amazing! I can take no credit for this recipe, but I just had to share it because it is so delicious! The flavors are just unbelievably good! Serves 2

I hope some of you wonderful ladies have a wonderful getaway planned for this spring or summer with your significant other, family, or friends! I've rounded up 21 versatile pieces to pack in a carry-on suitcase! Yes, almost everything is black! I like to choose one color of shoes to bring so that all the outfits I pack can be interchanged! You know my fashion motto, "Black and white is always right!" These 21 pieces can be worn and interchanged to create new looks! See below some of the options for your upcoming getaway! On the Plane I like to be comfortable on the plane (as I'm sure you do too!)! These pants are so comfortable and come in a few colors. I always like to pack a jean jacket as a good layer to add to many pieces I pack in my suitcase! And if you don't have a Vinyasa Scarf from Lululemon, oh boy! It is time you invested in one! Not only are they a scarf for the plane, but you can use it as a wrap later on vacation! A Night Out This dress has quickly become a favorite in my closet! Not only will it pack well (NO WRINKLES, YAY!!), but it also looks great on! Remember the Vinyasa Scarf from above? Well, not it is a wrap for those cooler restaurants! And that clutch!!! So beautiful and goes with everything! A Casual Day Same great dress, but this time it is dressed down and made to look more casual! Perfect for a little shopping! Another Night Out Use the same wedges, but pair them with another outfit! I love rompers!! This cotton one is another great addition to a suitcase because it will travel well! A Casual Day Another comfortable outfit! This one would be perfect for lounging around at the hotel! Or taking a walk around town! A Day at the Pool You will look cute and be comfortable in this stylish outfit for the beach or pool! Sit back, relax, and read a good book! Dinner Date Night This maxi dress is another great one for travel! Plus it is on sale right now! Pair it with a pair of wedges and a statement necklace and you are good to go! If it is chilly, throw on your jean jacket or Vinyasa Scarf as a wrap! Hope this helps you pack for a future fabulous trip!
